Why JDL exists
James has always wanted to make things better - learning how they work, taking them apart, and improving what is already there. The simple motto is leave it better than you found it.
That sat badly against workplaces that charged clients for every little thing, including bug fixes. So JDL was set up to do the work a better way: honest, practical, and focused on the outcome rather than nickel-and-diming the relationship.
Alongside that is a preference to see a project through. Not only the first step or the last one - but the full path from build and launch through hosting, and keeping the system up and working afterwards.
Beyond the code
Still human. Occasionally outranked.
Serious about delivery does not mean impersonal. The work is focused - the person behind it is still allowed a bit of personality.
